CRUCLOUD IMPLEMENTATION

INITIAL ARCHITECTURE

The Cloud Project at the McLane College of Business/Graduate School, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is being executed under the direction of Dr. Kirk Fischer/Graduate Programs Director. John and Two Graduate Assistants have been assigned to develop the following for the College:

  1. Curriculum and design for implementation of the Standards Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) Java (jbb2015) and Virtualization (virt2013) stack products for usage in advanced classes.
  2. The design and implementation of Type II clouds using: a) Microsoft Windows Server and Hyper-V 2016 and b) OpenStack Hypervisor with Linux Management Operating Systems.


Milestones for the project include:

  • Spring 2016: Implement jbb2015 and design for virt2013
  • Fall 2016: Use both SPEC environments in classes being taught in Cloud Architecture and Analysis/Design/Modeling
